SCHADS Award 2025: What the Latest Changes Mean for Caregivers and NDIS Providers

Starting January 1, 2025, the SCHADS Award will introduce key updates aimed at enhancing pay, working conditions, and caregiving standards across Australia. Here’s what you need to know:

    • 50% wage increase on January 1, 2025.

  4. Overtime and On-Call Pay:

    • 1.7% allowance for one unpaid break.
    • 2.25% allowance for two unpaid breaks within 12 hours.
  6. Remote Response Pay:

    • Employees will be compensated for resolving emergencies outside their scheduled hours.
